Minutes of WCS Committee meeting held 8:33pm Tuesday 14th Apr 2026 at Whitakers after Choir Practice.

Present: Adrienne (president), Anne, Willi, Mark James, Sandra, Gavin, Maya, Andy,  Joan

Minutes of last committee meeting held 10^th Feb 2026: Accepted as true record.

2026 Mid-year Concert: Sunday 31st May at 2pm at St Peter’s

- Advertising: Mark J to make up advert plus article for Gulf News (will need copy of poster), and advise them that Adrienne willing to be interviewed.

- Concert Name: “His, Hers & Theirs“.

- Facebook and on-line advertising: Adrienne to ask Mark Y (who has offered even though he will be away until day before concert). 

- Poster: Maya to design, committee members to send her any design ideas, words to be prominent to make easy/quick reading – WH Choral Society, concert title, time & place, price ($20/$15 concession/$50 Family).

- Poster sizes:  Agreed just 1 x A2 laminated for Matiatia – Adrienne to organise.  Rest unlaminated A4/A5 which Gavin will print.

- Tickets: unnumbered, Gavin to print on stiff paper, to liaise with Maya re different colour tickets or include all prices on tickets for manual circling when sold.

- After-show refreshments: Agreed to have, need to ensure hot-water califont is on before concert (Adrienne to check if need to bring urn from Whitakers).

- Guest performers:  Anne advised don’t really have enough songs for full concert, need to have quest performers like in pervious concerts, suggested OSB again.  OSB will be preforming at Rocky Bay Variety Show on preceding night, Mark to ask OSB if willing to sing for 10mins/3 songs, suggested any that are WH focused, then Anne would add “Orpheus on Te Ara Hura” to the end of our repertoire.

- Programme: Anne will write one up and Gavin will print copies.
