Minutes of WCS Committee Meeting 9/2/2020:
Held at Mark James home, Rocky Bay (thanks Mark for welcoming us), starting at 2:10pm.

Program for 1st half of 2020:
Received 5 emails from members suggesting what they would like to see the choir doing this year.
General consensus is people just want to sing, and that it would be difficult to put on a show given availability of people (although there is keenness by some to put on a show).
Richard agreed to put together a proposal for a concert comprising a mix of classical and lighter music for the first half of this year.
Agreed to aim for concerts at the main community halls (Rocky Bay, Onetangi, Palm Beach, finishing at Morra Hall, over the 2nd & 3rd weekends of June (13th/14th, 20th/21st).
Sue to check availability of the 4 halls for these weekends and book if available.
Program for 2nd half of 2020:
Richard mentioned his preference to not be MD for the whole year, so as to free up time for other things.
Arianna is going back to Canada in April for 6 months.
Gavin to approach Ann to see if she would be open to acting as MD for the second half of the year.
Keeping options open for doing a show if people come forward to help (Director is main need).
One suggestion (as well as previous suggestions made like G&S RuddyGore) is to join with the likes of the WH Theatre Co. in a show that needs a choir within it.
AGM:
Decided to hold AGM on Tues 17th March at 7pm at Whittakers before the start of practice.
Gavin to send out email to members, asking people to consider joining the committee as Nic is stepping down and Maya is overseas most of this year.
4 members is minimum quorum for normal committee meeting, so need more committee members in case anyone is away.
Meeting finished 2:50pm, with Sue continuing her journey northwards.
